NIGCOMSAT ‘ll drive technological progress, foster partnerships in Nigeria – MD

The Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of the Nigerian Communications Satellite NIGCOMSAT , Mrs. Nkechi Jane Egerton-Idehen, has reiterated their commitment to business transformation, insisting that they were driving technological progress and fostering lasting partnerships for the betterment of Nigerian communities.The MD spoke in Kaduna while addressing journalists at the North West Regional Business office at the end of her two-day visit.
Mrs. Egerton-Idehen highlighted NIGCOMSAT’s transformation into a focused industry player and unveiled the new slogan, “We are Open for Business,” during a recent Stakeholders’ Breakfast Forum in Abuja.
She said her visit to Kaduna aimed to engage clients and partners in the region, emphasizing NIGCOMSAT’s commitment to business transformation.She also Expressed determination to bridge the digital divide, NIGCOMSAT focuses on providing broadband connectivity nationwide.The MD called for partnerships with Kaduna State Government to enhance operations in various sectors.
According to her ,NIGCOMSAT initiated the Accelerator Programme, encouraging space-tech companies to participate before the application deadline on February 24, 2024. She said “this program offers mentorship and exposure to early-stage space-tech startups.
The CEO urged collaboration with media, industry players, and schools for technological access and sustainable economic growth.
She further appreciated support from partners and stakeholders, NIGCOMSAT adding that they remains dedicated to driving technological progress for a connected and prosperous future.
“Gentlemen of the Press, I warmly welcome you this afternoon to the North-West Regional Office of Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT), situated here in Kaduna. It is my pleasure to address you all today as i conclude my two-day working visit to the region. particularly in the important state, Kaduna the “Centre of Learning,” as it is referred to.”
