The NIGCOMSAT team participated alongside the Honourable Minister of Communications & Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami (Phd.) and other agancies under the Ministry, at the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition in Dubai, where meetings were held with prospective customers and presentations were made on our tailored solutions that could help with the connectivity gap in our coverage areas.

At this year's conference, one of the technology start-ups, Chiniki Guard, that was sponsored by the Nigerian Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), an agency under the Federal Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy, emerged as the winner in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) category of the 2019 GITEX Future Stars award with a prize of $10,000.

GITEX is an annual event, which is the biggest technology gathering in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. This year's theme is "Synergising  the Mind and Technology Economy".
