Biography

Barrister Mrs. Yvonne Uche Odu-Thomas joined the Federal Civil Service of Nigeria in 1991 with the Federal Ministry of Justice as a Research Assistant, with LLB. Degree and BL. Having also graduated from the Nigeria Law School with honors, and undergone further training in Law and Economic Crimes at the University of Leicester, Leicester England amongst others.

She has been a member of numerous national committees on government policies including Executive Order 5. She served as Secretary to the National Committee on Banking and Finance Malpractices in Nigeria, under the Babangida regime.

She was Assistant Legal Adviser to Nigeria Custom Service and Excise, Legal Adviser National Bureau of Statistic, Ag Director, International and Comparative Law Department, Federal Ministry of Justice. She was Legal Adviser, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity before coming to the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology as Director, Legal Service.

She is married with three children. Her hobbies are caring for children and the needy, dancing, cooking and reading.
